Emily W. Davis is a strategic partner to education organizations and edtech leaders, specializing in fundraising and communications strategy. She works with teams at key moments of growth—helping them clarify priorities, strengthen positioning, and build the systems needed to drive meaningful, measurable results.

With more than a decade of experience in the education and nonprofit sectors, Emily has supported organizations in raising millions of dollars, expanding their visibility, and aligning their work for long-term impact. Her approach blends big-picture strategy with practical execution, making her a trusted partner to leadership teams navigating complex challenges.

Previously, Emily served as Executive Director of the Better Together: California Teachers Initiative, where she led a statewide network of 37,000+ educators and oversaw the California Teachers Summit, a multi-site convening reaching more than 10,000 teachers annually. Earlier in her career, she led development and outreach efforts for The Teacher Salary Project, producing the award-winning documentary American Teacher and coordinating national screenings in more than 560 venues to elevate the conversation around teacher pay.

Emily began her career in development and grant writing at the New Teacher Center and San Francisco Education Fund. She is based in New York and works with clients across the country.
